This project was dedicated to Velina Hasu Houston’s Nisei friends, especially Takayo Fischer; and the 100th Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, both highly decorated U.S. Army regiments comprised of American of Japanese ancestry who fought bravely and successfully against the German Army of Hitler’s Third Reich.
